Coronation Street fans are sure they’ve cracked the mystery of who the real father of Daisy Midgeley’s baby is on the popular ITV drama.

Recently, Daisy was thrown into a paternity puzzle when she discovered her pregnancy, realising either Daniel Osbourne or Kit Green could be the dad.

In the episode aired on Monday night, Daniel, who is engaged to Bethany Platt, pushed for a DNA test, eager to find out if he’s the father of Daisy’s child or not.

During their conversation, Daisy unintentionally revealed the gender of her unborn child, confessing she believes it’s a girl based on a ‘feeling’ she has, which left Daniel both thrilled and apprehensive about the revelation.

Future episodes will see Daisy getting the DNA test results. However, she looks at them and then promptly deletes the information, telling her stepmum Jenny Connor that the identity of the father doesn’t matter and she decides to keep it under wraps, claiming neither potential dad measures up, reports Lancs Live.

But fans are speculating there might be another twist and that neither Kit nor Daniel is the father. Viewers have been voicing their theories on social media platforms.

One viewer speculated: “Wouldn’t surprise me if Daisy’s baby turns out to be Ryan’s #Corrie”, while another chimed in with: “I don’t think it’s Daniel or Kit! I’m going for Ryan”. This sentiment was echoed by others, with one fan suggesting: “I say Ryan also” and another asserting: “I’m guessing it’s going to be Ryan!”

Soap fans will remember that Daisy was unfaithful to her ex Daniel with Ryan Connor, before she and Ryan became an item.

In the meantime, Daniel found solace in Bethany. However, Daisy and Ryan’s relationship didn’t last, while Daniel had a brief fling with Daisy again after a temporary break from Bethany.

The pair then rekindled their romance and got engaged. But could there have been another secret liaison between Daisy and Ryan, meaning he could be the dad?
