Coronation Street fans will be seeing a familiar face ahead of Daisy Midgeley’s exit
A Coronation Street favourite has teased fans with a preview of their dramatic return to Weatherfield amid Daisy Midgeley’s upcoming exit from the show.
Daisy, brought to life by actress Charlotte Jordan, has been at the heart of the cobbles’ drama ever since she arrived on our screens in 2020 as Jenny Connor’s (portrayed by Sally Ann Matthews) stepdaughter.
The character has recently been entangled in a complex storyline after discovering she was pregnant and left uncertain about the identity of the baby’s father. In a plotline earlier this year, she sought answers through a DNA test to determine if Daniel Osbourne or Kit Green was the dad.
However, even after receiving the results, Daisy chose not to reveal them, instead confiding to stepmum Jenny that the paternity of her child mattered little, as she believed neither man deserved to be a father.

In a surprising turn of events, actress Charlotte, 29, recently announced her departure from the long-running soap after five years, stating: “It’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities”, reports Lancs Live.
Her departure plans seem set to include a blast from the past, as Amy Robbins, 53, who plays Daisy’s mum Christina Boyd on the soap, hinted at a comeback when she uploaded photos of herself back on-set to Instagram. Amy was last seen in Coronation Street in April last year.
Amy excitedly showed off an image taken outside the Rovers Return Inn with actor Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth, captioning it with: “Back at @coronationstreet with my bezzie!”
Tony also couldn’t contain his excitement and took to Instagram to share the same snap, posting: “Buzzin to have my bestie back on Corrie! Nipped into The Rovers for a pint to celebrate! #George #Christina.”

Soap fans were eager to voice their delight in the comments, with one fan saying: “Great to have you in it”, another eagerly wrote: “Yeeessss welcome back! ! !”, someone else chimed in with: “Can’t wait to see you back on coronation street Xx”, another added: “This is so exciting xx”, and yet another comment read: “Can’t wait to see you on TV @amylouiserobbins_ lovely photo xxxxxx.”
Amy first graced the cobbles as Christina in 2023 and has made intermittent appearances until April 2024.
Besides her role on Coronation Street, Amy is also recognised for her portrayal of Dr. Jill Weatherill in The Royal, Defence Barrister Milligan in Emmerdale, and Caren in EastEnders, among other roles.
Coronation Street is on ITV1 at 8pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and on ITV X and STV.
