Coronation Street viewers saw one character declare they would buy The Rovers Return pub during Monday’s episode of the ITV soap, amid a fan theory about Eva Price
There could be a new owner of The Rovers on Coronation Street very soon, but not Eva Price as predicted by fans.
Someone else announced a decision to buy the famous pub on Monday night, and it could see Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley remain in the pub amid fears they’d be booted out. That said with Daisy leaving the ITV soap later this year, it might not all go to plan.
During Monday’s visit to Weatherfield, one character decided to prove how serious they were with their plans to reconcile with pregnant Daisy. After being wrongly informed that they were the father of her unborn child by Jenny, the character in question made a grand gesture.
Daniel Osbourne told Daisy he wanted to be with her and wanted to raise their baby with her. Daisy was devastated as she admitted to stepmother Jenny that it’s Kit Green who is the father of her child, not Daniel.
Amid this, Daniel confided in Jenny about wanting to help them out with the money they stole from Carla Connor. With them needing to pay her back ASAP, and the pub now hers as a result of their huge debt, they risk losing their beloved pub.

So Jenny was in for a shock on Monday night when Daniel offered to pay Carla and buy the pub from her, making him the new owner. He said he’d let Jenny and Daisy keep on running the place and live there, while he would put the funds into the pub allowing them to pay Carla back.
When Daisy found this out she was mortified and tried to get Daniel to change his mind, but as she protested he kept talking over her. He refused to listen to her and said his decision was final.
So does that mean Daniel will be the new owner of The Rovers Return, and that returning character Eva will not be in charge as predicted by viewers? It’s claimed Leanne Battersby’s sister Eva will make a big comeback to the ITV soap in the coming weeks.

Actress Catherine Tyldesley is said to have reprised the role after seven years away. Details surrounding her return storyline have not yet been confirmed, but fans are convinced they know why she will be back.
Her mother Stella Price previously owned The Rovers with Eva working behind the bar. So will Eva come back to the street and buy the pub? Or is Daniel likely to stop this from happening?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
