Coronation Street spoilers for this coming week have revealed a character is back on screen, after fans of the ITV soap took to social media recently to question their whereabouts
Coronation Street fans will see a familiar face back on screen on Wednesday (16 October) after weeks offscreen.
Viewers had questioned the whereabouts of the character with some believing he had secretly quit the show. The character featured quite heavily earlier in the year and then suddenly disappeared with no mention of where he was.
But weeks later, and Bobby Crawford will make his screen return in a matter of episodes. Actor Jack Carroll will reprise the role, with the comedian recently touring the country with his latest show.
It’s not known if he took a brief break from filming to do this or if the character just wasn’t needed for recent scenes. He had been mentioned by his aunt Carla Connor and her nephew Ryan Connor, but had not actually been shown.
It led to a number of fans asking what had happened and where Bobby had gone. Several viewers of the ITV soap began asking if he’d left for good and if actor Jack had quit in secret, with no word on what had happened.
But now spoilers for this week have revealed he is back in Weatherfield, and has not left the show. Amid big scenes for aunt Carla recently, Bobby faces a love dilemma of his own.

With former flame Lauren Bolton getting some news about her baby son Frankie, Bobby wastes no time in being there for her. Bobby promises Lauren that he and Max Turner will be around to help her with Frankie.
While away from Lauren, it’s clear something is bothering him though. Later, Bobby admits to pal Max that his feelings for Lauren are unchanged and he longs to be with her – but is he about to get his heart broken?
Things get awkward when it soon emerges Max and Lauren are hiding something, amid Joel Deering’s murder. It could be linked to his death or perhaps a secret romance.
With Bobby still torn over what to tell Lauren, he’s left confused when he finds Max and Lauren in the Rovers. They are acting strangely, and soon Max makes his excuses and leaves pretty abruptly.
Bobby questions what is going on but Lauren says nothing, before she too makes a hasty departure from the pub. Bobby knows something is going on and is determined to find out what, but what are Max and Lauren hiding from him, and will it lead to more drama for the trio?
