Coronation Street may have teased an exit is on the way for evil Cassie Plummer after she was finally exposed for drugging and stealing from ITV soap legend Ken Barlow

There could be another exit looming on Coronation Street ahead of four possible departures next week.

The latest episode of the ITV soap saw one character found out, with another declaring revenge on them. Cassie Plummer faced the wrath of Weatherfield after being caught out for drugging and stealing from icon Ken Barlow.

Ken had confronted her earlier this week before suffering a heart attack and almost dying. After he was rushed to hospital and had an emergency operation, he was able to tell his worried loved ones what had happened with Cassie.

Tracy Barlow wasted no time in confronting her in the street and attacked her, before smirking as she was arrested. Tracy revealed Ken had told them everything and they had called the police on her.

On Thursday night we saw Cassie back in Weatherfield after being released following her arrest. But she faced judgement from residents as the Barlows confronted her, before her own family shared their disgust over the scheming.

As Cassie tried to explain herself, she apologised to son Tyrone Dobbs and his partner Fiz Brown who demanded her house keys back, refusing to let her stay or see her grandkids. Cassie then headed to the hospital to clear the air with Ken.

She apologised for her actions and again tried to justify what she did, admitting to the drugging and the stealing. But Ken saw right through her just like Tracy, and the pair made it clear she must face punishment.

After Tracy took action the night before, Ken got his own revenge on Cassie by vowing to make her pay. As she appeared to try and stop him grassing her up to the police, Ken refused to back down and told her she must face up to her actions and her crimes.

He scolded her and said: “You have to answer for what you have done.” He then made it clear she was not welcome, leaving a tearful Cassie leaving the room.

With that it seems Cassie’s fate is sealed with fans predicting an exit is on the way. Some fans argued there was no way of redeeming Evelyn Plummer’s daughter, with others predicting she would be sent to prison.

With actress Claire Sweeney’s soap future yet to be revealed, one fan posted online: “I don’t see how Cassie can be redeemed tbh.” Another viewer said: “Please tell me Cassie leaves. She’s been irritating from the first moment she set her foot on the cobbles.”
