Coronation Street fans are convinced they know how Bethany Platt is leaving the ITV soap
Coronation Street fans believe they’ve figured out how Bethany Platt, a beloved character on the ITV soap, will make her exit. Lucy Fallon, who portrays Bethany, has been a staple of the show for years, entangled in numerous major plotlines ranging from child grooming to illicit affairs.
Bethany’s journey has been far from smooth sailing. In September, she suffered a perforated bowel and life-threatening sepsis following a botched liposuction procedure in Turkey. As a result of the surgery and subsequent sepsis, Bethany now lives with a stoma bag. This ordeal has significantly impacted her relationship with Daniel Osbourne, played by Rob Mallard.
Recently, Daniel has found himself torn between his feelings for Bethany and his ex, Daisy Midgeley, portrayed by Charlotte Jordan. A few weeks ago, Daniel and Daisy shared an intimate night together, a secret Bethany is yet to discover, reports Lancs Live. Last week, Daisy was hit with the surprising news that she’s pregnant, leaving her uncertain whether Daniel or her intermittent partner Kit Green, played by Jacob Roberts, is the father.

Adding to the drama, before learning about her pregnancy, Daisy witnessed Daniel propose to Bethany, who happily accepted. However, with Lucy Fallon’s departure from the show imminent, fans are speculating that Bethany may not get her fairy-tale ending after all.
In August, it was announced that actress Lucy would be taking a temporary leave from Corrie due to her pregnancy. She is expecting her second child with boyfriend Ryan Ledson, after the birth of their son Sonny Jude last year.

Speculating on X, viewers suggest she’ll bid farewell after discovering the truth about Daniel and Daisy, and decide to visit her grandmother Gail (played by Helen Worth) in France.

One viewer speculated: “Baby is obvs Daniel’s and Bethany will find out and that’ll be them writing her out for maternity leave,” Another fan theorised: “I’m thinking that Daniel finds out that Daisy is pregnant around late January and Bethany breaks up with Daniel.”
They continued: “Bethany is staying at David’s during the Platt’s fire which is Late Jan/Early Feb and then she’ll probably leave to stay with Gail and Jesse in France.”
