Coronation Street viewers are convinced they’ve figured out who Abi Webster will be unfaithful to Kevin with. Abi, portrayed by Sally Carman, has been a regular fixture on the famous cobbles since 2017 and has been involved in numerous major plotlines. From her struggles with substance abuse to the tragic demise of her son Seb Franklin (played by Harry Visinoni) in 2021, Abi’s tenure in Weatherfield has been anything but dull.
Currently, she is dealing with the aftermath of Mason Radcliffe’s (Luca Toolan) stabbing and subsequent murder earlier this month. Viewers will remember the harrowing scene where Abi discovered a bleeding Mason fighting for his life. Despite her best efforts to save him, he later passed away.
The horrifying incident brought back painful memories of Seb’s murder, leading to increased worry about Abi’s wellbeing, reports Lancs Live. This week saw her hallucinating Seb while seeking comfort in his memorial garden on the street. Adding to her troubles, her husband Kevin (Michael Le Vell) has been diagnosed with cancer.

In Friday’s episode (January 17), Kevin finally confided in Abi, leaving her stunned. However, it appears that the soap may be gearing up for a shocking infidelity twist involving Abi. Earlier this year, Corrie’s new boss Kate Brooks hinted at an unexpected affair on the cobbles.
Kate Oates has hinted that the partnership between Abi Franklin and Kevin Webster on Coronation Street is set for rocky times ahead, revealing: “She loves Kevin and he loves her, but temptation comes Abi’s way, let’s put it that way.” The speculation amongst fans is rife as to who could potentially turn Abi’s head, leading to infidelity.

On a popular Coronation Street fan group on Facebook, there’s a buzzing notion that Kit Green (portrayed by Jacob Roberts), a character with a history of involvement with married women, might be the interloper. The crooked policeman became the talk of Weatherfield after his affair with Shona Platt (played by Julia Goulding) was exposed.
A viewer speculated: “Abbie affair looming then which is a shame because I liked them.” Another fan predicted: “Probably with Kit! ” Adding to the chorus, one commented: “Yup, he’s a dirty dog! Poor Kevin.” Suggesting a pattern, another stated: “He’s making his way through the entire street, why not Abi!”
