EastEnders bosses have revealed a huge new twist ahead of the BBC soap’s 40th anniversary, where viewers will choose if Denise Fox will end up with Ravi Gulati or Jack Branning
Ravi Gulati’s future on EastEnders has been confirmed amid a huge new storyline.
Tonight, it was announced that – in a show first – EastEnders viewers will get a chance to choose whether Ravi (played by Aaron Thiara) ends up with Denise Fox or if she will stay with her estranged husband Jack Branning (Scott Manslen).
Ravi has been caught in a massive storyline with the Panesar family. In shocking scenes on New Year’s Day, Nish arrived at the wedding venue as his ex Suki Panesar planned to marry her true love Eve Unwin.
Nish managed to escape Vinny and Ravi and poisoned Eve’s drink, nearly killing her. He had planned to kill both himself and Suki, but she managed to run onto the balcony to try and get some help. Ravi followed them there, with Nish goading him – before he pushed his dad off the side of the building, with Suki falling too.
Whilst Nish died, both Suki and Eve are still alive – but Ravi is struggling with the guilt of what he did to his own father, and if he will ever be caught out by the police for murdering his own father.

However, it looks like Ravi could be safe – at least for now – as viewers will decide whether Denise (Dianne Parish) ends up with Jack or Ravi, with the outcome set to be revealed in a special live episode to mark the 40th anniversary of the soap.
Denise had been with Jack, but their marriage fell apart when it was revealed that he was having an affair with Stacey Slater. However, the pair have since settled into their blended family, and shared a number of passionate moments,
He has no idea though that Denise has been seeing her former flame Ravi after a romantic moment on Christmas Day. However, of course, Ravi’s past is quite troubled – and he used to date Denise’s daughter Chelsea.
Chris Clenshaw, EastEnders Executive Producer, said: “We’re all so excited to give our audience their first ever chance to decide how one of our big storylines plays out. Their votes will determine whether Denise picks Jack or Ravi, with the outcome being revealed as part of our live episode. There is a lot to come over the next few weeks for all three involved, so it’ll be extremely exciting to see which way the audience choose to take the story!”
