BBC EastEnders’ Peter Beale star ‘smitten’ as finds love with soap co-worker

EastEnders Peter Beale actor Thomas Law is reportedly “smitten” after finding love with new girlfriend and camera assistant Taylor Jane as they shared a loved-up photo to Instagram

EastEnders Peter Beale actor Thomas Law has reportedly found new love with his BBC co-star, which he seems to have confirmed on Instagram.

The 31-year-old, best known for his role as Peter Beale, is said to be dating camera assistant Taylor Jane. He recently shared a post on social media featuring the couple enjoying a day at Whipsnade Zoo in Dunstable. The pair appeared all smiles, with Thomas wrapping his arm around Taylor in the photo. Taylor also tagged Thomas in the snap and added a red love heart.

The Sun reports that the romance between the pair has been growing more serious in recent months. Thomas, who has kept his relationships private in the past, has been linked to former EastEnders co-star Madeline Duggan and Hollywood actress and singer Sofia Carson, whom he starred alongside in the 2016 film A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits.

A source told the publication: “They’ve been dating a while but have only just started posting each other on social media.”

Thomas played a young Peter Beale on the soap from 2006 to 2010. After Thomas’ exit in 2010, Peter was played by Ben Hardy and Dayle Hudson. The hunk later reprised his role in 2023.

Thomas’ storylines have included being involved in a car accident, a turbulent relationship with Lauren Branning, and discovering that his younger half-brother Bobby murdered his twin sister Lucy.

On reprising the role, Thomas told the BBC at the time: “Over the years, I had hoped for a return to the Square although I never thought it would happen so it’s an absolute delight to be back in Walford as Peter Beale.

“It’s been great to see familiar and new faces, and I can’t wait to explore the character again in the wake of Cindy’s return – it’s an exciting time to return!”

Thomas also revealed how he had to keep the news about his return a secret. He said: I was filming another job at the time so keeping it a secret was ok, as I couldn’t tell anyone I was working with there.”

“When you’re working on these jobs, you don’t really get to socialise much anyway. My mum and sister both work at EastEnders so they found out two weeks into me knowing as they heard a few whispers which they of course had to keep a secret too.”

In addition to his work on the soap, Thomas is widely recognised for his role as DC Eddie Martin in the ITV crime drama The Bay, where he appeared from 2021 to 2023. He has now left the show to return to EastEnders.
