EastEnders spoilers tease the past catching up with one Mitchell while Phil struggles to adjust to life in the mental health unit
The Mitchell family will be in the spotlight in the upcoming episodes of EastEnders, as Harry’s past comes back to haunt him and Phil grapples with his new reality in a mental health facility. On Monday (March 17), the fourth anniversary of Shireen’s disappearance stirs up emotions at the home of her former boyfriend, Harry Mitchell (played by Elijah Holloway).
Meanwhile, at the Arches, Harry is taken aback by an unexpected visit from Shireen’s brother, Asad, who discloses that he no longer suspects Harry had a hand in Shireen’s vanishing. However, the Mitchell name isn’t out of the woods yet, as Asad shows up at Shireen’s vigil at Harry’s Barn, organised by Nicola (Laura Doddington).
The event descends into chaos when Asad points the finger at Teddy (Roland Manookian) for Shireen’s murder, but Harry steps in to defend his father against Asad’s accusations.

Back at their residence, Harry pleads with Teddy for the truth, while his mother Nicola seeks answers from a mysterious character named Benji about Shireen’s whereabouts.
Nicola later faces rejection from a worse-for-wear Harry and is subsequently called to Walford East, where Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) warns her about a dangerous batch of drugs circulating in the area.
Upon returning home, Teddy catches Nicola speaking to a drug dealer over the phone, leading her to confess her involvement in drug dealing.
However, things escalate when Harry, under the influence, picks a fight with Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) at The Albert, prompting Nicola and Teddy to intervene.

Nicola also attempts to persuade Teddy to withdraw his backing of Junior’s business ventures, reports Plymouth Live.
After confessing to Sharon at the Boxing Den that he still has feelings for her, Teddy finalises his business deal with Junior, keeping it under wraps from Nicola.
In other news, Honey Mitchell (played by Emma Barton) pleads with Billy (Perry Fenwick) to reveal the truth about Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to Lexi (Isabella Brown), but he insists she doesn’t need to know.
Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) almost lets the cat out of the bag, much to Billy’s annoyance, before discovering Lexi engrossed in one of the letters Phil penned on the night of his suicide attempt, mistaking her for Clare.

A distraught Lexi runs to Billy, convinced that Phil is dead, leading to a confrontation between Billy and Nigel.
Back home, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) shows up to support Nigel, aware of his dementia diagnosis. Honey and Sharon inform Billy that Callum (Tony Clay) will break the news to Lexi, as they all head to Phil’s mental health unit for a visit.
In a special episode airing on Thursday, EastEnders will track Phil’s progress in the mental health unit over a four-week period, introducing his new friend Gaz (Keith Allen).
As Phil confronts his inner demons during his stay, his support worker Yasmin helps him realise he’s ready to leave the unit.

The Walford icon listens to voicemails from Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Nigel before discharging himself. But where does he go?
Meanwhile, the funeral preparations for Martin Fowler (James Bye) continue, with Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) stubbornly refusing to let Jean Slater (Gillian Taylforth) assist. Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) intervenes, offering some much-needed advice to Jean.
However, tranquillity is fleeting as Jean and Ruby persist in their disagreement over Martin’s funeral plans, leaving Kathy stuck in the crossfire. Concurrently, Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) grapples with the grief of losing her father.
EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and iPlayer
