EastEnders viewers have predicted when Lily Slater will expose Martin’s final words

EastEnders fans have been left in suspense, fearing that Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) might disrupt her father’s funeral after uncovering a significant secret on Wednesday evening (February 26). The aftermath of Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) tragic death has left his loved ones reeling as they struggle to come to terms with their profound loss.

Lily last saw her adoptive father, Martin, following the explosion at The Queen Vic, where he assisted her escape before saving Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner). Martin later succumbed to a heart attack after being pinned under a metal beam in the pub.

In his final moments, the fruit and veg seller confessed his true feelings for Stacey, with the pair exchanging ‘I love you’ and planning to remarry. Since then, Stacey has been utterly lost, with only her mother, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), aware of her final conversation with Martin.

During the latest visit to Walford, Lily, Stacey, Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy), and Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) convened to begin arranging Martin’s funeral. Lily was insistent on participating in planning the sombre event and didn’t hesitate to voice her thoughts.

Lily and Ruby disagreed over the funeral arrangements before Sonia decided to end their meeting. Back at home, an emotional Stacey confided in her best friend Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) about her last conversation with Martin, reports Plymouth Live.

Lily overheard Stacey’s revelation, in which Martin expressed his desire to spend the rest of his life with Stacey. Stacey has since insisted her daughter remain silent about what she heard, but viewers are speculating when the truth will come out—and many believe it will be during Martin’s funeral.

One fan posted on social media: “I just know for a fact Lily is going to lose her mind and tell Ruby at Martin’s funeral that he loved Stacey #EastEnders.”

Another comment: “Lily is probably going to reveal to Ruby that Martin loved Stacey. I can see her saying it in a fit of anger, #Eastenders.”

A third shared their thoughts: “And Lily is going to tell Ruby the truth is the most public humiliating way I can’t wait, she probably shout it at the funeral #eastenders.
