BBC EastEnders fans ‘work out’ sad death twist ahead of 40th anniversary explosion

EastEnders viewers are predicting a major death on the BBC soap in just two months time, after reports of a fire engulfing The Queen Vic emerged ahead of the 40th anniversary episodes

Some EastEnders fans are convinced a devastating death twist looms, after news of a shocking fire leaving lives on the line.

One character in particular is tipped to be killed off in a devastating twist after recent scenes and some news sparked speculation. Reports emerged recently, while nothing is confirmed officially, that The Queen Vic will be destroyed in a devastating blaze for the show’s 40th anniversary episodes.

Ruby Allen made a return recently as part of a twist involving her ex Martin Fowler. He found out the character, who was sent to prison a few years ago, had been pregnant with his child and welcomed a son.

Their young son Roman is now poorly and in hospital, with the exes putting asides their differences to be there for him. But amid hints of them rekindling things and Ruby coming between Martin and Stacey Slater, fans have been left convinced her a “prolonged stint” on the show won’t last.

Given Ruby’s past and the harrowing deaths of her mother and sister in a fire, with her only saved by her father Johnny Allen by accident, fans think tat history may now be about to repeat itself. With it not confirmed how long Ruby will be on the show for and when she might leave, some fans think she was brought back to introduce Roman on the soap, before another exit for the character.

Actress Louisa Lytton was recently confirmed to be joining a new UK tour of the mystery thriller The Girl on the Train. So does this mean Ruby will leave soon, and could she bow out in tragic scenes for the 40th anniversary episodes?

Viewers certainly think so, with one commenting on X with the theory: “Calling it now, Ruby dies in February in the Vic fire. Martin and Stacey get back together and raise Roman.” Another viewer posted a theory that read: “Ruby and Martin have a party in there and Stacey starts the fire to try and ruin it.”

Another fan agreed and said: “QUEEN VIC FIRE THEORY 🙂 as it’s the RUBY anniversary…. maybe she dies, as Martin is too late after saving Stacey first. Plus, her mum and sister died in a fire too!!” Another comment read: “Very good theory, Stacey was also very involved in the last Queen Vic fire so having her, Ruby and Martin also Linda and Sharon of course makes a lot of sense.”

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
