Walford’s killer account Reiss Colwell has so far managed to get away with murder and the abduction of Bianca Jackson but fans think one resident is going to uncover his lies – and later kill him
EastEnders fans are convinced Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is set to murdered when his lies are exposed in a new revenge plot. As fans of the BBC One soap will know, the twisted accountant killed his comatose wife Debbie last year to help alleviate his financial difficulties.
Before he committed the crime, Reiss had already drained Debbie’s savings to help fund IVF treatment with his new love Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy). But after a police investigation, it was Sonia who was accused of murder and has held in prison on remand ever since – all while pregnant.
Elsewhere, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) tried to prove her sister Sonia’s innocence and later found out Reiss had killed his wife. She agreed to give Reiss time to run away before taking evidence to the police, but he tricked Bianca into a lock-up where she has been held hostage ever since.
Sonia’s murder trial arrived on Monday (January 13) and she begged Reiss to help get her released from prison in time to give birth. He also let loose on Martin Fowler (James Bye) over his commitment to helping his ex-wife Sonia as the pair nearly came to blows.
After weeks of being locked-up, Bianca also made an appearance as Reiss continues to keep her locked up until the trial is over.
On Tuesday (January 14), Reiss made a reckless decision and tried to intimidate a witness as the care home where he murdered Debbie which could jeopardise the court trial for Sonia.
But EastEnders fans think they know how Reiss’ reign of terror will end – with Martin killing him in a revenge plot.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “I’m calling it now, Martin is gonna kill Reiss when all is found out about Bianca & Sonia #EastEnders @bbceastenders.”
A second added: “I’m sick of looking at Reiss’ face. I hope he has one of the most horrible deaths in #EastEnders history.”
A third pleaded: “See this weasel Reiss (however it’s spelt), can you lot kill him please and thanks #EastEnders I’m really hoping that this week is the week of Reiss’s demise. It’s clear he’s feeling a little guilty for Sonia taking the fall over him.”
“Can’t wait for the fallout of this when the truth comes out about Debbie’s death #EastEnders”, said one viewer while another added: “Martin really needs to rescue Sonia & Bianca #EastEnders.” “Reiss having a go at Martin! #EastEnders”, said another.
