EastEnders viewers have pointed out Linda Carter’s mistake as Dean Wicks managed to terrorise her from behind bars with the help of his associate Fraser
EastEnders fans have pointed out Linda Carter’s mistake amid a new chilling Dean Wicks twist.
Soap watchers will recall that The Six have framed Dean for the murder of Keanu Taylor and he is currently in prison awaiting trial. Linda is actually responsible for Keanu’s death but the character, as well as Denise Fox, Kathy Beale, Sharon Watts, Stacey Slater and Suki Panesar, have all stuck together as The Six to protect Linda and instead frame evil rapist Dean for the crime.
On Monday night, Linda was rocked when Fraser – a contact of Dean’s – accosted her in The Vic and offered her a deal from Dean. He said: “You retract your false witness statement… he’ll confess to what he did to you.” It wasn’t long until Linda’s protective mother, Elaine, intervened and ordered him to leave.
However, once alone with son Johnny, it was clear she was tempted to take the deal but he desperately tried to talk her out of the idea before she turned to the bottle again. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to point out Linda’s mistake as they questioned why she didn’t call the police as she had Elaine there as a witness to Dean’s behaviour.

One person said: “So, call the police Linda. This will finish Dean #EastEnders” while another added: “So you get straight on to the police and say you’re being intimidated to change your statement, you now have your Mother as a witness!*! #Eastenders.” In scenes later this week, Linda wakes hungover at The Vic and raises concerns with Elaine when she forgets Annie’s dentist appointment.
Later in the week, Linda makes a shocking discovery whilst bottling up at The Vic and things get worse the next day when she receives a blackmail letter as she tries to determine who might have sent it. Later, Linda receives a second letter and loses control, causing a scene as she accuses individuals in The Vic. Johnny consoles her upstairs whilst unbeknownst to them, the culprit sending the letters is visiting Dean… what is his plan?
