A handful of Walford locals were left seriously injured after a crowd crush at Peggy’s but in upcoming scenes, Chelsea Fox’s responsibility in the tragedy could be rumbled.
Police are determined to get to the bottom of the Peggy’s crowd crush, leaving Chelsea Fox fearing the worst as she gets wind of their investigation.
Penny Branning, played by Kitty Castledine, organised an event at the venue, unaware that her employee (portrayed by Zaraah Abrahams) sabotaged her business by selling more tickets than Peggy’s had the capacity for.
In recent scenes aired on BBC One, this resulted in a horrific crown crush at the club as multiple party-goers were taken to hospital over the incident, having sustained serious injuries – and one of them includes Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd).
The teenager is suffering from a fractured pelvis and went into cardiac arrest as a consequence of her extreme panic at the club. But in an upcoming episode, Chelsea is mortified when she hears the authorities want to speak to Amy.

Chelsea’s panic begins when Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) tells his daughter Amy that the police will want to question her about the club crush. As Chelsea’s sabotage remains a secret, Amy’s brother Ricky (Frankie Day) wonders if Penny could go to prison and Jack refuses to rule it out, leaving Chelsea privately horrified to realise the severity of the situation.
Later on, a worried Chelsea fusses around an irritated Amy and the teen eventually tells her that she needs space as she continues to reel from her injuries. But convinced she needs someone to talk to, Chelsea corners Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega), urging him to visit Amy and lift her spirits.
Denzel, whose relationship with Amy has been nothing short of chaotic, believes he is to blame for Amy being at Peggy’s that fateful night – but can they find their way back to one another?
Whatever the case may be, trouble is on its way to Chelsea as Jack later reveals that the police tech team are working hard on the corrupted footage of the crush in a bid to get to the bottom of things.
Regular viewers of the London-based programme will remember that authorities have already found evidence that extra tickets had been sold but they were linked to Penny’s login to the ticketing system, allowing Chelsea to let her rival take the fall.
Chelsea has recently been booted out of No.1 Albert Square with her young son Jordan as newcomer Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) bought the property from serial killer Gray Atkins, who remains behind bars for multiple murders. But could she be headed for a prison exit?
