A former Emmerdale star has bagged an exciting new role just weeks after being axed from the ITV soap.

Daisy Campbell, 21, known to millions of Emmerdale fans as Amelia Spencer. As we’ve previously reported, the star has been let go by bosses at the ITV soap with her exit scenes airing this month.

Daisy Campbell, has played Amelia Spencer in Emmerdale since 2011 with the acting star growing up on the ITV soap. Taking to Instagram, Daisy has announced an exciting new role.

Revealing her part in new drama Storm, Daisy said: “I feel so privileged to have been approached to play the lead role of Lacey in Storm. Especially because this original drama will raise awareness of something so serious and harrowing for the survivors who have experienced it, and that is historical abuse.

“The script was first written over four-years-ago and while it’s entirely fictional, the fact is that what happens to Lacey in Storm really does happen to innocent people in real life.” In Storm, Daisy’s character Lacey came to fame as a child star with her suffering abuse on-set – something which is addressed as she gets older.

Daisy said 2025 will be ‘very exciting’ for her as she pursues new acting ventures. We’ll, of course, keep you posted on Daisy’s next steps.
