Fans of Emmerdale think Anthony was hiding another secret before his death
Emmerdale fans are convinced that latest villain Anthony Fox “abducted” April in her missing storyline ahead of the special episode being aired on Tuesday (February 4).
April Windsor went missing on Christmas Day following a string of turbulent events that the teenager struggled to come to terms with. At first, April was kidnapped by the group involved in the underground fighting ring that Ross Barton and Billy Fletcher were involved in.
The group kidnapped April as they believed Ross had stolen money from them. He managed to rescue the teen as they dangled her from a rooftop.
It was the same rooftop where April’s mother Donna Windsor had died falling from in 2014. April was unaware that’s how she died until a distraught Ross informed her.
Struggling to cope with the truth and the fact that her dad Marlon Dingle had lied to her, April turned to alcohol and became angrier with Marlon for lying.
Marlon confronted Ross and asked him to end his friendship with April so he could get his daughter to confide in him once again. April became upset after the one person she thought she could trust wanted nothing to do with her.
Since her disappearance, viewers saw her get into an unknown person’s car at the side of a road and CCTV footage that showed her walking through Leeds.
On Tuesday, all questions will hopefully be answered as the ITV soap will air a special episode dedicated to April’s “tragic” and “heartbreaking” story.

Fans have theorised that Anthony Fox may have somehow been involved after his abuse towards daughter Ruby was outed in recent episodes. Unfortunately, the villain was murdered so if he is involved, what does this mean for April?
On Instagram, @kingraven9999 asked: “Has Anthony been holding her captured?” to which @lindyc1955 replied: “Now that would be a twist. Seems she has been forgotten about this last week while everyone gets rid of Anthony”.
@courtney_marsden added: “That would have been a better story line. Tie it in with Antony and show what could happen if you get abducted. Could still go that way”.
On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, a viewer echoed: “If Anthony has got something to do with April (seems likely) going missing, then surely Steph will find out the truth”.
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
