The actress, who is best known for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, is now a proud mum-of-two
Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon appeared emotional as she celebrated a fresh milestone weeks after welcoming her second child into the world.
The actress, who is best known for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, announced earlier in January that she and her footballer boyfriend Ryan Ledson had welcomed their second child together, after welcoming their first child, Sonny, in the world in 2023.
It comes after they confirmed last summer that they were expecting baby number two. They then announced their baby girl, Nancy, had made her entrance into the world safe and sound on January 11, by sharing the first sweet picture of the newborn, who could be seen in a fleece-lined baby chair in a floral baby grow with ‘Little Sister’ embroidered on the front.
“Our teeny angel girl is here [star emojis] 11/1/25,” the Blackpool-born star confirmed alongside the post. She’s since been sharing a glimpse into life with her newborn daughter and as a mum-of-two.
But on Thursday (January 30), it was all about her first-born as Lucy marked Sonny turning two. The evening before his special day, she shared a picture of when he was born as she lay in her hospital bed with him on his chest. “And he’s two in the morning [broken heart emoji and crying face emoji].”
She then shared a sweet picture of the pair on his actual birthday and wrote in view of her fans and followers: “Happy 2nd Birthday Sonny,” followed-up by a collage of images of the toddler.
Lucy took an extended break from the cobbles when she welcomed her first child. At the end of 2023, she returned to the show where Bethany quickly found herself in a love triangle and wrapped up in the mysterious plot revolving around Lauren Bolton’s disappearance.
News of her second pregnancy led viewers to speculate that Bethany’s days in Weatherfield might be numbered. Addressing fan’s fears head on, Lucy took to her Instagram stories back in August 21 to reassure fans. Posing on-set in her character’s attire, wearing a crop top and black midi skirt, she wrote: “Lots of Corrie related Q’s. I won’t be away for toooo long and I am returning after I pop the baby out xx.”
