Tuesday night’s EastEnders saw a bombshell confession from Gina, claiming she was with Freddie during the night of Cindy’s attack – but fans think something else
EastEndersfans have been left shocked after a dramatic cliff hanger featuring Gina Knight and one unsuspecting Walford resident.
Gina has recently been revealed as the one to throw a brick at the window to intimidate Cindy after she had been released from hospital. Of course, this meant the rest of the family were convinced this meant she was also her mother’s attacker on Christmas night.
However, Gina had found out her dad George had lied about being at ‘an illegal boxing match’ that night, after ringing the promoter and had thrown the brick to protect him.
At the end of Tuesday’s episode, a conversation was seen between Gina and Cindy, trying to convince her mum she was with ‘someone else that night’ although wouldn’t reveal the identity of the ‘mystery man’. Pressed into a corner, Gina was forced to deliver the name to Cindy. She revealed her ‘mystery man’ that night as Freddie, her sister Anna’s love interest.

Just as she made the revelation to Cindy, Anna and Freddie emerged into the room, after having just been intimate themselves. As well as Cindy, fans couldn’t believe the revelation themselves as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their thoughts. However, some weren’t convinced.
“Didn’t see Gina sleeping with Freddie slater on Christmas coming, fair play,” said one, alongside an ‘awkward’ gif. A second disappointed fan penned: “Not the producers sinking my Anna and Freddie ship!”
“FREDDIE AND GINA??? poor anna #EastEnders ” exclaimed a third, while a fourth commented: “This pretty boy Freddie is doing up a Jack by sleeping with both sisters Gina & Anna.”

However, others are convinced Gina is using him as a cover up, and was with Harry instead. Earlier this week, Anna confronted Harry about what was going on between her sister and him. Elsewhere, Junior watched on as Harry demanded money off Gina. “I feel like she was only saying that cover up what she was really up to with Harry. I feel she’s relapsed and feels ashamed about it. Cindy was pushing for a name and Gina blurted out Freddie’s name in what looked like a heat in the moment thing #EastEnders,” said one.
Some are also calling for the two to get together, as another wrote: “I would still pair Gina and Harry together, think they suit as characters and could be an interesting dynamic if explored.”
Fans were left on a cliffhanger and will have to wait until the next episode to see how Anna will react. Earlier this week fans saw Anna and Freddie finally give in to their feelings towards each other.
The pair have been through a lot since Anna’s arrival on the Square 2023, finding themselves in a ‘love triangle’ with Bobby Beale. Freddie and Bobby first got together when she first arrived, although due to his best friend Bobby’s crush on Anna, Freddie decided to push them two together instead of pursuing things himself.
