Fans of the ITV soap will now know that Colson Smith will soon be seen leaving the cobbles and his co-stars Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price
A trio of Coronation Street stars have been issued a demand by fans as one of them announced ‘we’re coming home’ amid their castmate’s Weatherfield exit.
Fans of the ITV soap will now know that Colson Smith will soon be seen leaving the cobbles behind as his time playing Craig Tinker will come to an end early this year.
He confirmed the news earlier this month in a social media post, shared to X and Instagram. Alongside a picture of himself portraying Craig as a police officer, he announced: “Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker’s time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025. I’ve loved every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world.”
The 26-year-old added: “I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation Street. I’ve learned pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home. I’m excited to play out the exit story for Our Craigy.”
But earlier this week, Colson revealed that he won’t be able to stay away from two of his co-stars as they continue with their joint venture away from the cobbles. Colson, Jack P Shepherd and Ben Price host the On the Sofa podcast which hears them chat about their lives, work and everything in-between.
Now, they’re once again set to take their podcast to the stage, this time in Leeds, having previously hosting sold-out shows in London and Manchester.
As tickets went on sale on Friday (January 24), Jack, who is famed for playing David Platt in Corrie, took to Instagram with a snap of him and his co-stars and said: “We’re going LIVE again! And this time we’re coming home… well me and Cols are. 7th March, night time. (Haven’t got a time yet) I’ll stick in bio. Cheap as chips @onthesofashow.”
But it wasn’t long after that Jack took to his Instagram Stories to ask who had snapped up tickets as they were already sold out. Responding to his original post, fans were letting Jack know if they’d be at the show while others were issuing a demand.
