Hollyoaks have taken to social media to share behind-the-scenes snaps of Stacey Solomon’s two sons Leighton and Zachary filming scenes for the Channel 4 soap – and fans are delighted
Stacey Solomon’s two oldest children have landed a role in Hollyoaks.
Fans of the Channel 4 soap were sent into meltdown as behind-the-scenes pictures of Zachary and Leighton on set were posted on the show’s official Instagram page on Tuesday (January 21).
Alongside three snaps of the boys filming inside and outside Price Slice, a video clip was shared showing Zachary and Leighton appearing in a scene alongside soap legends Jennifer Metcalfe, Charlie Wernham, Charlie Clapman and Dawn Hope.
Parcel Patrons worker Zachary can be seen barging into Mercedes, played by Jennifer, while bringing a delivery into the shop, while Leighton, who appears to be playing a paper boy, arrives late.
Pearl Anderson, played by Dawn, tells the youngster: “Oh Leighton, what time do you call this to be collecting papers? I’ll be having a word with your mother. Go on.”
It remains to be seen whether or not if the roles are just a one-off or if the duo are due to film more scenes but the social media post has sent fans into meltdown.
Taking to the comment section, one fan penned: “Aww Stacey’s kids so lovely to see them on my favourite show.” Another added: “Welcome to Hollyokas family.” A third person said: “Omg it’s @staceysolomon pickles.” Someone else wrote: “I wasn’t expecting Stacey Solomon’s kids on here.”
Stacey’s eldest son Zachary’s dad is ex-boyfriend Dean Cox and Leighton’s father is ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham and she’s yet to comment on her sons new role but she was tagged in the Instagram post.
Soap fans will remember that Stacey’s husband Joe Swash played fan favourite Mickey Miller in EastEnders from 2003 until 2008 before returning for cameo roles in 2011 and most recently in 2024.
Stacey and Joe share three children together; Rex, Rose and Belle and Joe is also a father to Harry from a previous relationship.
Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am
