Coronation Street death tragedy ‘sealed’ as exit confirmed ahead of horror blaze

Coronation Street fans are fearing the worst for one character ahead of a fire stunt rocking one family on the ITV soap, following the news a cast member had quit

With a fire twist looming on Coronation Street, fans believe they know who could die in the horror stunt.

News of a fire tearing through the home of the Platts was reported late last year, with pictures from location appearing to confirm the news. Corrie boss Kate Brooks had confirmed to the Mirror in December that the Platts would be involved in a huge stunt too.

An insider also informed the Mirror that the fire was on the cards, while the soap has yet to reveal any spoilers or details about the blaze and if anyone dies. The recent confirmation exclusively to The Mirror that Max Turner actor Paddy Bever is leaving the role soon has now left fans worried.

It’s yet to be revealed which of the Platts will be in the house when the blaze begins and who is left fighting for their lives. It has previously been teased that Max’s father David Platt could lose things dear to him, and that his actions will lead to the stunt.

So might Max perish in the house blaze, and might this be the huge consequences of Max’s actions? Viewers certainly think so, believing they have worked out how Max leaves the show ahead of his exit storyline being confirmed.

Taking to social media, one fan said: “I can’t bear the thought of Max dying!” As a second wrote: “So if someone (Max) dies in the house fire, is this a possible kidney donor for Carla?!” Another fan guessed: “Max is going out of Corrie it’s probably him.”

A fourth fan posted: “Poor Max,” as a fifth wrote: “The Platt fire is about the Platts. It’s their storyline which i’m assuming ties in with Max’s exit.” Another theory is that Max might be blamed for Joel Deering’s murder again, amid his girlfriend Lauren Bolton facing trial.

It comes as actor Paddy told the Mirror, ahead of his exit that is said to be airing in early spring: “After much reflection and in an incredibly difficult decision, I have chosen to step away from Max, and Coronation Street, to explore new opportunities. I have been surrounded by such kindness and support every step of the way.

“It’s been a great privilege to contribute to the legacy of such a well-loved and iconic show. This chapter has been unforgettable and while I look forward to what lies ahead, I will treasure these memories.”

Max’s final scenes are thought to have been filmed, after Paddy informed bosses of his decision last March. Kate had teased a big stunt to us back in December, saying: “It all comes to a massive head in early February, when we play a massive stunt that has huge consequences for David. So, in trying to protect everyone and do the right thing, he ends up losing quite a few things that he holds dear.”
