Emmerdale aired tense scenes on Monday but some viewers were left distracted by the weather
Emmerdale fans were left ‘baffled’ on Monday (January 20) as snowy scenes seemed to come and go throughout the episode and “ruin continuity”, according to viewers.
In one scene, grieving Kim Tate (Claire King) visited the frosty graveyard to lay flowers for her late husband Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) after he died suddenly of a heart attack on Christmas Day.
Wrapped-up in her stylish winter clothes, Kim looked solemn as she stood among the snow and looked down at Will’s burial site. She then bent down and placed a bunch of white roses on his grave before spying Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) sitting on a bench.
Kim walked over and sat beside Joe on the wooden bench that didn’t have any traces of snow on it despite the fluffy white snowflakes settled on the ground around them.
“Visiting someone or just here for the view?”, Kim asked her step-grandson. Joe confirmed: “Just went to say hi to dad. Got me thinking about all the people we’ve lost”, as he prompted a conversation about death.
After the two spoke about family life and “running the Tate empire” among the wintry backdrop, the episode flipped back to the village where snow was very scarce on the ground.
Eagle-eyed Emmerdale fans wasted no time in pointing out the variations of snow in each scene and rushed to social media to point it out.
Taking to X, one Emmerdale fan wrote: “And just like that, the snow is almost gone!! #emmerdale.” A second said: “Snow ruining the continuity on #Emmerdale”, while a third chimed in: “And then there was snow #emmerdale.”
“It didn’t snow on the bench. #Emmerdale”, added one viewer while another echoed: “#Emmerdale Snow cleared up quite quickly – it was knee deep in the graveyard earlier.”
“Chucked on #Emmerdale waiting for #Corrie to come on and Kim and Joe are having a fantastic scene in the snow and Laurel has just saved Nicola by whacking the evil Anthony over the head with a candle stick!”, said another.
Emmerdale airs every weekday at 19.30pm on ITV1, ITV X, STV and STV Player with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. It is also available each morning from 07.00am on ITVX.
