Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) is currently harbouring an enormous secret that could blow Bethany Platt’s (Lucy Fallon) world apart in Coronation Street, though the writer is none the wiser.
After a one night stand with Bethany’s fiancé Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), Daisy discovered that she was pregnant, and realised that he could be the father.
Despite keeping the news to herself, her secret was exposed to the two possible baby daddies when she ended up in hospital in recent scenes.
As the nurse announced that she was allowed to have an x-ray while pregnant, both Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and Daniel reeled in shock.
Daisy later told Kit that he was the father, before admitting to Daniel that she didn’t know for sure.
In upcoming scenes, Daniel urges Daisy to take a DNA test, desperate to know once and for all if the baby is his.
Daisy agrees, but demands that he accompany her, unaware of what Bethany is up to at home…
Bethany, having been offered her dream job in London, calls the magazine to find out if the job is still available, despite Daniel having already dismissed the possibility of a move to the capital.
When Daisy returns to the Rovers, she is horrified to find Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) has bagged up all of her designer stuff to sell, in order to find the money to repay Carla Connor (Alison King).
Things get even worse when Daisy learns that Bethany bought her designer handbag.
At their flat, Daniel keeps quiet about where he has been, only to be blindsided by Bethany’s confession that she wants him to consider a trial move to London. What will he say?
The couple head to the Rovers with Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) to celebrate Bethany’s new job, where things only get worse for Daisy.
She is left totally mortified when Bethany pulls out her positive pregnancy test and reveals that it was in the bag she had bought.
Assuming Kit is the father, Bethany congratulates Daisy on her good news.
When Kit later arrives in the pub, Daisy grows overwhelmed by his and Daniel’s presence, and when Bethany announces that she and Daniel have set a date for their wedding, Daisy finally sees red… But what will she do?
Later, Jenny is concerned when she finds Daisy doubled over in pain in the backroom, and insists that she allows her to take her to the hospital.
When Kit turns up, Daisy invites him to stay for the scan.
The next day, Bethany tells Sarah that she still plans to go ahead with her move to London, but as they carry her belongings out of the flat, Sarah spots Daisy and rails at her for ruining Daniel and Bethany’s relationship.
Back at home, Daisy receives the DNA results, but after reading them, she deletes them and tells a shocked Jenny that the father of her baby is irrelevant.
Will the truth ever come out?
