Emmerdale fans were left reeling after Ruby admitted that her father abused her as a child and that Steph was his daughter.
Emmerdale fans seem to think they have worked out who will kill Anthony (played by Nicholas Day) after a DNA test revealed that Stephanie Milligan (Georgia Jay) was his biological daughter.
Emmerdale spoilers have already teased Anthony’s demise after a villager discovers his body, but who ends up killing him?
Those in the frame include his son-in-law, Caleb Milligan (Will Ash), Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), and Caleb’s nephew, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Nicola King’s (Nicola Wheeler) and Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) names are also among the mix of who shot Anthony.
In distressing scenes aired on Friday, poor Ruby (Beth Cordingly) was still left reeling from the sickening results, while Steph has yet to find out about the abuse and the fact her grandfather is her biological father.
However, after Ruby confronted her father about the abuse, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Caleb worked out the truth for themselves – and now they’re out for revenge.
On Friday, while Anthony tried to manipulate Steph, Caleb finally confronted Ruby about abuse, and she broke down in tears during an emotional moment between the couple.
“Whatever you tell me, I will believe you,” Caleb reassured as he asked, ” It is true, isn’t it?””
Ruby nodded and immediately sobbed into her husband’s arms as Caleb said: “I have got you, I have got you.”
“He belongs in hell,” Ruby said before going into detail about when the abuse started.
“I was 14 when it started. I couldn’t get to sleep, and my dad said he would lie down with me while I drifted off.”
Ruby went on to tell Caleb that she thought her “mum always knew” about the abuse as she “buried it deep down”.
“That is why she left all of the money to Steph,” Ruby added.
Towards the end of the episode, fans saw Caleb mysteriously meeting a random person who had a delivery for him – a gun.
However, ever since fans learned that Anthony would be killed, they have been coming up with their own theories about who the culprit is.
One fan said on a Facebook fan page: “Caleb or Steph to pull the trigger.”
Someone else theorised: “I read he was attacking Nicola, and Laurel hit him with a candlestick. I thought she must have killed him.”
One fan added another name to the mix: “Caleb or Cain,” while another agreed: “Or both.”
“I think it’s going to be Aaron that kills Ruby’s dad,” a fifth suggested.
Another fan seems to think it will be Ruby pulling the trigger herself, while one said: “Nicola I think.”
If a villager ends up killing Anthony, then a double exit will be on the cards – Anthony will be dead, and the culprit will be sent to prison.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
