Coronation Street fans have been speculating for weeks about a potential romance between Carla Connor and Lisa Swain, but a new spoiler shows things could be moving forward
Corrie fans will be treated with a confession of feelings as two characters Carla Connor and Lisa Swain are forced to confront their emotions.
Previously, the Coronation Street characters shared a charged moment and have been avoiding confessing their feelings ever since. The pair have got closer and closer, with a few shared brief touches and longing stares. Several fans have interpreted this as a new romance on the Cobbles, with Lisa and Carla offering a shoulder to cry on during a stressful few weeks.
Now, the fan pairing “Swarla” might become stronger, with new spoilers revealing that Lisa will once again lean into Carla during a stressful time. This makes Carla realise a few things – which could turn into a confession.
Feeling confused, Carla decides to seek advice and comfort from a loved one, who she vents to. After explaining her feelings, she wonders whether it’s best to confront her feelings head on or continue ignoring them.
It’s unclear whether this goes to plan, but it’s looking like a stressful week for Carla and Lisa, who are stressed to the background of Joel’s murder. He is unmasked in Friday’s episode (November 15) and the fallout leads to more tension between the pair.
Both Carla and Lisa have been harshly questioned during the investigation, with Lisa trying to keep her job and tend to her daughter, Betsy. To escape, the investigator heads over to Carla’s flat and somehow wakes up on her sofa with a severe hangover.
Drinking away her problems did not solve them, and instead gave her a sore head. Carla, on the other hand, heads over to Ryan to hash out her thoughts.
Pro-Swarla Ryan encourages Carla and says he likes Lisa. But upon reflection, Carla is feeling out of her depth and nervous to reveal the truth, in case it ruins their friendship. But Ryan says go for it.
Her true feelings are announced and she makes a tough decision. When she gets to Lisa’s house, she finds her scrambling around and preparing to leave. Will Carla take the moment, or let it pass by?
Coronation Street is on ITV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
