Coronation Street Rob’s next victim ‘revealed’ in murder twist – but it’s not Carla

Coronation Street’s Rob Donovan could be set to murder again, according to fans

Coronation Street’s Rob Donovan, infamous for his murderous past, could be on the brink of killing again, fans speculate. Rob (played by Marc Baylis) recently made a surprising comeback to the soap, eight years after his last appearance. Viewers will remember that Rob is serving time for the murder of Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) back in 2014.

However, when Rob’s sister Carla Connor (Alison King) needed a kidney transplant, his son Bobby (Jack Carroll) decided to intervene. Bobby visited Rob last week to disclose the situation – and although initially resistant, Rob eventually reconsidered. In Monday’s episode (January 13), Bobby returned to prison to convince Rob to undergo testing as a potential donor.

The plot took a dramatic twist when fellow inmate Matty (Seamus McGoff) brandished a knife and seized a prison guard, Mandy. Fans will recall that Matty is incarcerated for stabbing and killing his own brother, Mason (Luca Toolan), reports Lancs Live.

Matty threatened to murder Mandy, and when Rob intervened, Matty redirected his threats towards Bobby, holding him at knifepoint. Both Mandy and Rob tried to defuse the situation, and as tensions rose, Rob pinned Matty against the wall, prompting staff to intervene.

Overwhelmed by his father’s life-saving actions, Bobby later told Carla that Rob has changed – a revelation that horrified Carla. In an unexpected turn of events, it emerged that the entire hostage situation was orchestrated by the scheming Rob.

Viewers are now on edge, worried that the murderous Rob could be planning another deadly move – and prospects are grim for a certain resident of the cobbles. A concerned fan took to a Coronation Street Facebook group to voice their suspicions: “What is Rob up to? Really thought he had changed.”

Another added their prediction: “I can see him killing again tbh. Maybe Bobby as revenge for disowning him? ” Echoing this sentiment, a third person commented: “Yeah Bobby, I can’t see him killing Carla.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
