Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) staged a surprise return to EastEnders on Monday – but things are not looking good for her.

Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) has been holding her hostage in a lock-up since November after she uncovered evidence that proved he killed his comatose wife Debbie last year, and Bianca has been off-screen ever since.

With Bianca’s sister Sonia Fowler having been wrongly accused of Debbie’s murder, the latest episode of the BBC soap saw Sonia’s trial get underway, also marking actress Natalie Cassidy’s return to screens after an extended filming break.

Fans saw Reiss pay Sonia a visit in prison before her court appearance, where she lamented the fact she had not heard from her sister since her plea hearing. 

She made clear to her fiancé that she hoped to see Bianca in court to support her, but as Sonia later took to the stand, she was disappointed to see both Bianca and Reiss were not there. 

Reiss was then seen paying Bianca a visit in the storage unit, where she has been residing since November. 

They don’t look to have been an easy few months for Bianca either, as not only was the place a tip, but Bianca looked to be in a bad way. 

She was also uncharacteristically quiet as Reiss gave her an update on Sonia’s case.

Will Bianca be able to muster the strength to escape Reiss’ clutches?

Later this week, it transpires Reiss has done something stupid, which has resulted in Sonia’s trial being adjourned – but what exactly has he been up to this time?
