It hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans of the ITV soap
Emmerdale fans have been left asking ‘the real question’ as they spotted something they said they ‘can’t stand’ in the latest edition of Dales action.
The ITV soap was back on Thursday night (January 9) with its usual hour-long episode, in which Marlon Dingle was horrified to see a trail of online abuse that accused him and his wife Rhona Goskirk of being behind their daughter April’s disappearance following his desperate appeal for information on her whereabouts.
There was also more heartbreak for Sarah Sugden as after spending the night with Jacob Gallagher, they were interrupted by Leyla Cavanagh, While she told Jacob that she wouldn’t interfere, she planted seeds of concern about Sarah’s health.
As a result, Jacob later approached Sarah and put an end to their blossoming relationship as he didn’t want to lose her like he did his girlfriend Leanna Cavanagh, who was murdered by Meena Jutla.
But there was one thing more than most causing a distraction among Emmerdale fans as they flocked to social media to comment. @JAli89_91 said: “9th of January and all the Christmas decorations are still up. Something off with the timeline writing there #Emmerdale.”
@LynnTurley asked: “Why has Emmerdale still got all the Christmas decorations up? #Emmerdale.” @SHED8888 posted: “Why isn’t anyone in #emmerdale taking their Christmas decorations down?! It’s the 9th January!” @kelly_xm_ joked: “Christmas gets earlier and earlier every year #Emmerdale.”
The comments were even around when Emmerdale announced it’s next big stunt. They released new pictures from filming of the gripping storyline which appears to show a car crashing into a frozen lake, with multiple lives hanging in the balance. They also show a desperate hand breaking through the icy gloom of the frozen water, grasping for survival.
But despite the tragedy set to unfold, @firecracker commented: “The real question is, will anyone have taken their Christmas decorations down by February?” @tracy_kenney01 replied: “I noticed last night they were still up.” @lassieloo added: “I can’t stand watching #emmerdale with all of the Christmas decorations and trees still up on the 9th January FFS!”
