The 50-year-old fell ill earlier this week
Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson has offered a further health update after he fell ill earlier this week. The Steve McDonald star opened up on Monday, November 4 about his ongoing battle with “man flu”.
In a video shared on Instagram, the 50-year-old said: “Car didn’t make it, which is fortuitous because neither have I, I am full of man flu. I thought I could make it, I couldn’t so I’m tucked up in a very nice hotel where I am going to sleep and hopefully be alright.”
Simon had been enjoying Sotheby’s London to Brighton veteran car run before the sickness kicked in. Last night, he addressed his health battle again sharing a photo of Jack Daniel’s Honey.
He captioned the image: “Dear man flu SOD OFF” with many people in favour of the remedy in the comments. One fan said: “Hot whiskey will sort it out” and another added “If that doesn’t work. Try Tennessee fire”.
Other reactions included “Get it down you mate. Purely medical” with a winking emoji and “The best cold cure”. The soap star shared some exciting news this week in a career move away from the cobbles.
The actor has announced he has created a YouTube channel where he will be posting a variety of different content. Supporting the news was Simon’s on screen ex-wife Kate Ford, who plays the role of Tracy Barlow on the cobbles. She said “love this”.
On the cobbles, Simon’s character has been at the centre of the drama this year after his long-term partner, Tracy Barlow, dumped him. Tracy fled to Spain with his partner and it was teased Steve could become embroiled in a budding romance with Cassandra Plummer, played by Claire Sweeney. However, things got more complicated when Tracy returned from Spain last month.
