Tane feels guilty for letting him down.
Episode 8351
Perri is in freak-out mode, searching for Tane and panicking about his dad harassing him since being found not guilty in court. Tane arrives to check on Perri, and the reality of his absence sinks in as Perri expresses his hurt. He bitterly points out that his dad never kept his promises either.
When Tane explains that he thought he might lose his baby, Perri softens, but the hurt is still very real and he’s terrified that his dad is going to come after him. Alf bumps into Perri the next day and reminds him that the people of Summer Bay will always be there to support him when he needs it.
Tane is with Harper, making sure she’s okay. He reiterates that her and the baby come first. He and Dana are both very good at taking care of Harper. After Tane leaves, the sisters talk about the father-to-be and it’s pretty clear that Harper’s not bothered by them being mistaken for a couple at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Xander advises Dana to clear the air with Bree before her next shift, but Dana is adamant that she’s not the one who should be apologising. What she doesn’t know is that Bree is suffering panic attacks during the night instead of getting the sleep that she so desperately needs.
Remi tries to smooth things over with Bree, after she overheard him talking to Dana about her intensity at work. He mentions that it’s obvious she’s going through something and he’d really like to know what to do to help. She explains that she finds it hard to switch off from work sometimes, but Remi is supposed to be her escape from all of that. He apologises for going behind her back, taking her home so she can get some rest. Remi’s concerned for his girlfriend.
Over dinner, Remi tries to get a better understanding of why Bree is struggling more than usual. She explains that things have been especially hard since Felicity died, but the pressure of working in the ED never really goes away. Dana runs into a very highly anxious Bree in the morning and tries to apologise. This sends Bree over the edge and she blows up at Dana.
