Emmerdale fans are convinced they have worked out how Tom King’s next move following Friday’s episode
In Friday’s episode, the police released Emmerdale’s Tom King (played by James Chase). While his uncle Jimmy (Nick Miles) was overjoyed to see him, Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) remained unconvinced by his deceitful tales.
The authorities had discovered the vet’s damaged iPad, which held crucial evidence of his abuse of his wife, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper). However, with the screen smashed, they were unable to access the data immediately, forcing them to release Tom.
Jimmy welcomed his nephew back with open arms, but Nicola, who had initially reported Tom to the police, was less than thrilled to see him. Tom attempted to put on a united family front to win Jimmy’s support, but when he went to collect their daughter Angelica (Rebecca Bakes), Nicola confronted him.
As Tom tried to convince Nicola that Belle had fabricated the entire story, she questioned his claims and warned him: “You’re wasting your time, Tom.
“You see, I can see right through you and your lies, and you’re not going to sweet talk your way out of it,” reports Leeds Live.
Nicola playfully slapped Tom on the face before walking away, leaving him seething with anger.
The episode concluded with tensions escalating between Jimmy, Nicola, and Tom, with Nicola telling her husband that she and the children would not live under the same roof as Tom.
Whilst Jimmy was insistent on getting Nicola to extend an apology to both him and Tom and to persuade her to pick up their children from Laurel’s (played by Charlotte Bellamy), she asserted firmly: “They’re not coming back.”
Exasperated, he retorted: “Don’t be ridiculous,” adding, “This is where they belong, this is their home.”
“Not if they have to share it with him,” Nicola said. “I have tried to make you see sense, but you won’t listen. So we are not coming back while he is still living here.”
Tom said to Jimmy he would leave, but Jimmy stuck up for his nephew and stood by him. The previous day, Tom woke up to see that his car window was smashed, and in his instant thought was that it was one of the Dingles. However, fans have a different theory.
Taking to social media to share their thoughts about it and what could happen next, fans think it was either Nicola who smashed his window or her son Carl (Charlie Joyce).
One wrote: “Who thinks it was Nicola that smashed Tom’s windscreen?”
Another fan replied with another theory: “I think Tom did it himself to frame Nicola.”
Someone else suggested, “I think it was Carl,” and another agreed: “I think the boy Carl.”
One went on: “I think it was Nicola or Carl.”
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
