Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has assured her followers that she has ‘not broken up with anyone’ after using a ‘survival break up’ song in her latest reel.
The actress, who plays the deliciously vicious Ruby Fox-Miligan on the ITV soap, is in a relationship with former Emmerdale star Ian Kelsey, who rose to fame as Kim Tate’s former flame Dave Glover.
The couple have been together for over three years, with Beth previously stating that Ian was ‘really supportive’ when she landed the role of Ruby on the long-running serial drama.
‘There is that thing as an actor where you are always taken away from home,’ she said. ‘But he totally gets it. He knows a lot of the crew and cast and so it’s lovely to be able to share what I’ve been up to, knowing he understands.’
Beth, who recently took a break from Instagram, staged her return to the social media platform last week and has since updated fans on what’s been going on in her life with a number of reels.
The latest sees the former star of The Bill living her best life as she dances around on the beach to Miley Cyrus’ Flowers.
The track in question, as fans will know, is considered to be a break-up anthem and therefore Beth was quick to clarify her relationship status.
‘I realise it’s a break up survival power song and – NO – I haven’t broken up with anyone,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘We just really like writing our names in the sand and f***ing around on the beach doing silly dances in Butlins tops.’
A true icon.
Beth previously heaped praise on partner Ian, writing: ‘‘I love you on tour. I love you at home. I love you away. I love you here.
‘You are the stuff dreams are made of. Thank god I found you.
#stillcantbelieveyourereal,’ she said earlier this year.
‘It’s taken me 47 years to get here. And some amazing people in my life with everyday a school day. Stay open. Own your mistakes. WE ALL MAKE THEM. I MAKE HUNDREDS EVERY DAY. Proper CRINGE ONES. So. LEARN. Life IS a marathon not a sprint. Seatbelt on. There will be time.’
She concluded: ‘Thought for the day: The good ones do exist. Keep your eyes open. And when you find them – it’s terrifying, I KNOW.
‘But be brave and reach out your hand and don’t let go. #trustyouareenough#youareworthy#loveyourself please.’
Over in Emmerdale, Beth made a temporary exit as Ruby, who left the village to try and make things right with estranged son Nicky following the death of her own mum.
