Former Peaky Blinders and Stay Close star Luke Delaney is set to appear in his fourth UK soap role after landing another guest appearance in Emmerdale.
Luke previously popped up in an episode of the ITV soap as a masseuse in 2020.
He then went on to appear in two episodes of Hollyoaks as a character called Jacob in 2021, before landing the role of Dave Fairchild in Coronation Street.
Dave was involved in Max Turner’s (Paddy Beaver) far-right radicalisation storyline between 2022 to 2023.
News of Luke’s latest Emmerdale role was announced by his management in a post on Instagram on Tuesday.
‘We are delighted to share the news that our brilliant Luke Delaney has been busy filming a major guest lead role on EMMERDALE which will hit our screens soon!’ Atius Management wrote.
The Sun reports that Luke’s as-yet-unnamed character will appear as part of the underground fighting ring storyline, which earlier this week was used to stage Ross Barton’s (Michael Parr) return to the soap after six years away.
Shock scenes saw Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) – who has been taking part in illegal underground fights to keep a roof over his and wife Dawn Taylor’s (Olivia Bromley) heads – left speechless after discovering that the person he’d be squaring off against was none other than Ross.
Luke might also be familiar to viewers for his role in former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan’s hit Netflix drama Stay Close, in which he played an armed police officer.
He also played a copper in three episodes of Peaky Blinders back in 2014.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1 and from 7am on ITVX.
