Emmerdale’s Tom King’s comeuppance ‘sealed’ as familar face returns to save Belle Dingle

Emmerdale viewers are convinced that a ‘dead’ character will return to the village to save Belle Dingle and expose Tom King’s abuse

Emmerdale’s Belle Dingle, portrayed by Eden Taylor-Draper, faced a major predicament after finding herself in handcuffs for breaching her bail terms.

The much-loved character from the popular ITV series has been enduring abuse from Tom King, played by James Chase, and it was only when the situation escalated that she confided in the authorities. However, following an intense episode where she attacked Tom with an axe, Belle now faces an inquiry herself.

Conditions of her release strictly required no contact between Belle and Tom, yet Belle transgressed these rules upon suspecting Tom was behind a mysterious delivery of roses after Zak’s (Steve Halliwell) passing.

In a turn of events fuelled by frustration, Belle lashed out, tossing the roses at Tom, who then connivingly called the police on her for violating her bail.

On the Wednesday edition of the show, dated October 23, DS Foy paid a visit to the Wishing Well Cottage to apprehend Belle, subsequently escorting her for interrogation at the station, reports Leeds Live.

Determined, Belle insisted that Tom was furthering his abuse by sending the flowers, necessitating a confrontation.

DS Foy expressed to Belle his belief in her claims about Tom’s involvement but emphasized the importance of adhering to bail conditions to avoid imprisonment.

Traumatized by recent events, Belle retreated back home, eventually wandering to Zak’s gravesite donning his cardigan.

She was seen conversing with the empty air around her, convincing herself that she could hear Zak’s voice, admitting, “I didn’t realise how much I needed you dad” with the camera ominously revealing her solitary state.

Emmerdale enthusiasts are convinced that Belle will be reunited with her dog Piper, who she believed was deceased, and this revelation will confirm Tom’s domestic abuse to law enforcement.

One viewer commented: “Is Belle going to see Piper and think it’s a ghost? Because I wouldn’t put it past them to go with it. Or have I just given them ideas #Emmerdale.”

Another fan posted: “When I beg will we see little piper return to the village? ? #emmerdale”, while yet another engaged: “If Piper’s not involved somehow in Tom’s downfall then I need to be hired as an #Emmerdale writer. They clearly can’t be trusted going forward.”

A keen follower advised: “Now would be the perfect time for Piper to come back to comfort Belle! #emmerdale”, as another enthusiast declared excitedly: “When Piper returns, it’ll mean the end of Tom’s story. Hopefully #Emmerdale.”

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
