Emmerdale fans are convinced a beloved Dingle member could be set to be killed off in a heartbreaking twist
Emmerdale viewers are speculating that a much-loved Dingle character might be written out in a shocking plot twist.
Moira Dingle, portrayed by Natalie J. Robb, first graced the iconic Dales in 2009 and has since won over audiences, earning numerous awards along the way. Moira’s journey on the soap opera has been filled with highs and lows, including marrying into the Dingle family, dealing with her daughter’s drug overdose, and navigating numerous passionate affairs.
Recently, Moira received the life-altering diagnosis of a brain tumour after exhibiting unusual behaviour and experiencing seizures. This news shattered the Dingles, but they were dealt another blow when Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) passed away in Scotland.
Zak’s funeral was held last week, brought back to Scotland by Cain (Jeff Hordley). Regrettably, Moira declined an operation to remove her tumour as it coincided with Zak’s funeral.
In upcoming episodes, viewers will see an emotional Cain confess his fear of facing Moira’s potential death. Moira later decides to visit her son Adam (Adam Thomas), leading to a poignant moment where Moira and Cain realise he may soon have to bid her farewell, reports Leeds Live.
Emmerdale enthusiasts are bracing themselves for a potential shock as speculation mounts that Moira Dingle might be the next character to face a tragic end. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan group, a worried viewer posted: “Are they really going to kill off Moira?” The post sparked a flurry of responses from fellow fans. One person commented: “I have a feeling they will, there’s not been a huge on-screen death for a while.”
Another added: “That is true at least not since Heath or Rishi but she can’t die, she’s brilliant.” Someone else pondered: “Can’t do that Cain would not recover but never say never in soap land.” A different user expressed: “Hope not I’ll stop watching if this happens.”
Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, has opened up about her character’s current brain tumour storyline. She shared: “I feel really fortunate to be trusted with such a challenging storyline. Moira and her family have an extremely challenging time ahead, and I’m hoping I can portray it in a truthful way that does justice to all the people who are really suffering with a brain tumour.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
