Coronation Street fans baffled and left with one-word question after Damon Hay’s money found

Coronation Street fans have been left baffled after Damon Hay’s money was found in the hands of an unlikely culprit. Viewers of the ITV soap became aware of the money going missing earlier this month after the bad boy offered to help his ex Sarah Platt.

The offer came after Sarah’s daughter Bethany Platt was left fighting for her life after undergoing surgery that went wrong in Turkey. She had headed to Istanbul to work with a cosmetics company, using her journalist background to write advertorials for the CEO, who is a friend of Debbie Webster.

However, once getting to the clinic, Bethany decided to have work done herself but the liposuction went disastrously wrong and resulted in her contracting sepsis and fighting for her life.

But Daniel Osbourne discovered that Bethany’s travel insurance was invalid as she failed to declare she was having surgery while out of the country. It meant that she was racking up hospital bills that her family have ultimately had to pay for in order to bring her back home to Weatherfield.

Despite being in prison, Damon reached out to former flame Sarah, telling her he had some hidden cash he wanted her to have. But later, Sarah shocked him when she revealed she had not taken the money, despite it no longer being in the lock-up where he’d left it.

It has led to Sarah questioning who could have got hold of the cash, even suspecting Jesse Chadwick with the money going missing amid his return to Weatherfield to see Gail. With Adam Barlow also knowing about the money, he too was under suspicion but during Monday night’s Corrie (October 21) new villain Logan Radcliffe, the brother of Mason, appeared to be involved too after he stole Sarah’s keys before breaking into her flat.

He was seen trashing the place looking for something and was heard on the phone to someone, telling them they were there and that he couldn’t find any cash. Sarah was alerted by Damon that Harvey had found out about the cash and was now looking for it and as he was being beaten up in his cell, he managed to tell Sarah they were in the flat where Bethany was alone.

Sarah ran home to save her daughter but it was at the end of the latest episode that David was seen panicked to find Lily rummaging through the cupboard under the stairs. He asked her what she was doing, trying to get her to go away. It’s then that we saw him searching for something himself, before opening a bag that was full of cash.

And Corrie fans were confused as to how David managed to get the money in the first place.
