Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ Zak Dingle’s secret son after telling clue

The heartbroken village said an emotional goodbye to Zak Dingle last week, but one comment about the patriarch from Sam has left Emmerdale viewers confused.

Emmerdale fans are convinced Zak Dingle has another secret son called Seth after Sam Dingle dropped a ‘clue’ following the patriarch’s funeral.

Last week, the ITV soap bid farewell to the iconic character Zak (Steve Halliwell) in very emotional scenes. The farmer’s last dying wish was to be buried back home in the Dales after he had moved to Scotland.

The Dingle family gathered for one last knees-up as Zak was laid to rest. But there was a shock in store when Tina Dingle (Samantha Power) rolled up to the funeral to say goodbye to her dad after being absent for nearly 30 years.

But the emotional day got too much for the new family head Cain (Jeff Hordley), and rather than join in with a party in The Woolpack he opted to share the evening with his sister Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and their brother Sam (James Hooton).

The trio shared their fondest memories of their dad while they also brushed over some of Zak’s troubled moments.

During their conversation, Cain looked at Sam and said: “You were his favourite you know. Son I mean.”

Sam swiftly replied: “I always thought it were Seth. Or our Butch”, but his words have left Emmerdale puzzled over exactly who Seth is.

Taking to Reddit one fan wrote: “Seth Dingle? Who the heck is Seth? He isn’t mentioned on the wiki. I know Seth Armstrong, but he wouldn’t be described as Zak’s favourite son!” (sic)

A second person replied: “Also what I thought as soon I as I heard Sam say Seth I was like who tf is that lol imagine it turns out to be another of Zak’s never-ending long lost kids.” (sic)

A third chimed in: “I rewound this bit twice to work it out. I still don’t get it.” While another added: “Yes I’ve just seen this and couldn’t work out who he meant.” (sic)

Is there a Seth Dingle floating around somewhere in the Dale?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
