ITV Emmerdale tonight spoilers as Caleb’s secrets unravel and Belle confronts Tom

Belle confronts Tom but makes things worse for herself, while Will clears his conscience

The Emmerdale drama continues in tonight’s episode as Belle confronts Tom, Caleb’s lies unravel and Will clears his conscience.

In Tuesday night’s episode of the ITV soap, Caleb attempts to save his relationship with Ruby after it was revealed that he had blackmailed her mum while she was on her death bed and transferred £100,000 to his own bank account. As he attempts to win her back, he says the only reason he took Helen’s money was for “their future” and to “give Ruby the life she deserves”, as he prepares to sign a deal with Jimmy and take over his shares of the haulage company.

Caleb then revealed a big secret, and confessed to Ruby then when he had first started dating her, her parents had tried to pay him off. He told her: “Your dad gave me a big fat envelope full of money and told me to do one. I refused and he doubled the offer.”

When asked why he had never told Ruby about this before, he replied: “Because it doesn’t matter. As soon as he did that my mind was made up. I wanted to get you as far away from that toxic pair as possible.” He told her he loved her, and “you couldn’t put a price on love”.

But his plans for the future quickly unravel when Jimmy shredded Caleb’s contract to buy his shares after claiming he “wouldn’t be taken for a mug”. Jimmy had been told by Will that Caleb had already set up a five-year deal with a new depot, which would save him from bankruptcy. A frustrated Caleb put the blame on Ruby, which caused the pair to have another argument.

Later in the episode – which is available to watch from 7am on ITV Hub, or at the usual time of 7.30pm – Caleb bumped into Will in the pub and admitted that he was the one who told him the truth, and said “at least his conscience was clear”.

Elsewhere in the village, It was another emotional day for the Dingle’s as they received Zak’s belongings, which Debbie had sent to them from Scotland. A mystery bouquet of Roses also arrived at the house with the delivery and Belle jumped to the conclusion that they must be from Tom, saying: “They’re roses, he would always buy me roses. I told him I didn’t like them but he kept buying them anyway, this is him messing with my head yet again,” as she stormed off to confront him.

She sat outside Tom’s house waiting for him, and when she confronted him about the bouquet, pleading with him to admit he sent the flowers, he responded: “Look at yourself Belle, you’re losing the plot over a bunch of flowers,” and told her that she “needed to pull herself back together” because “her Dad’s death was no excuse to start accusing him of things she had no proof of”, before warning her that she would end up back in the secure unit if she carried on.

An angry Belle lashed out, and threw the bouquet of roses at the back of Tom’s head. She went to visit her dad’s grave, and spoke to him saying: “What should I do dad? I can’t take much more of this. Tom won’t leave me alone, I never know what he’s going to do next.”

Tom can be seen in the background watching on, before he made a call to the police and asked to report Belle for breaching her bail conditions.
