“There is a lot of story and drama still to play out.”
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders actor Navin Chowdhry has warned that his character Nish Panesar is going to be even more villainous in scenes yet to air.
Nish is reaching the end of his life, and has spent his time plotting against his family, and even organised an attack on the mum of ex-wife Suki’s current partner Eve. But, according to Chowdhry, we haven’t seen the full depths of Nish’s depravity just yet.
“This is a little teaser, but I think the worst is yet to come!” the actor told Inside Soap magazine.
“Having been reunited with his kids after 20 years in jail, to put his self-interests above theirs – he’s willing to throw anyone under the bus. He’s ruthless and self-centred to the cost of everybody that gave him another chance, and sold them out for his gain.
“There is a lot of story and drama still to play out…” he added. “People can have their theories. There’s revenge, redemption, and retributions, so you take your pick. Those are the cards on the table, let’s see who gets dealt what…”
However, although the Panesar family on-screen are fractured, to say the least, they get along swimmingly once the cameras stop rolling.
“We’re all very lucky on EastEnders with the Panesar group, it’s a lovely family,” Chowdhry explained. “It’s always a fun time.
“We’re able to just step away constantly in between scenes and have a laugh, and I think that is our tonic. It brings a different energy.”
We know that something big is set to go down on the Square at Halloween, and it looks like Nish is involved with it. What’s going to happen?
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
