Reece Dinsdale is best known for his role as Paul Ashdale on Emmerdale and fans were left gobsmacked after the ITV soap actor shared a throwback snap on social media
Former Emmerdale star Reece Dinsdale left his followers on social media rather amazed with an old photograph he shared, harking back to three decades ago.
The 64 year old actor is best recognised for playing the character of Paul Ashdale in the popular ITV soap. His tenure as a resident of the make-believe Yorkshire village began four years ago, during which time his character inflicted abuse on his son Vinny.
Paul’s time in the soap came to a dramatic end when his life was cut short on his wedding day a consequence of being struck by Jimmy King’s van, trapped beneath a collapsed barn beam and subsequently enveloped in an explosion.
Following his exit from Emmerdale, Reece has kept in touch with his followers, sharing insights into his private life through updates on various digital platforms.

Hailing from Normanton, Reece turned to a social media platform to post a throwback photo from his first holiday in Florence with his wife, taken around 30 years back, reports Leeds Live.
He captioned it: “My wife just dug out this old photo. Our first trip together. Florence circa 1992. I was 32… half my age now. #TimeFlies.”
Fans were quick to flood the comments section with warm messages upon seeing the nostalgic snapshot.
A fan commented on the site, once known as Twitter: “Always thought you were a handsome young man. As you’ve aged you’ve become a wonderful human being. Your wife is very lucky as are your children to have you as a father. Sending you all lots of love.”
Yet another admirer remarked: “Great photo Reece. You don’t look like your 64 in your profile pic. You have hardly changed at all. You’re still a handsome man. Have a good weekend.”
One fan gushed: “Wow can’t believe that’s you! Looking great.” Another admirer chimed in: “What a handsome young man you were, but you have gone from strength to strength, sending love, peace and blessings for another successful future, all your experience in acting and directing will bear greater fruit, I’m sure angel.”
A third fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “What a handsome young man you were but you have gone from strength to strength, sending love, peace and blessings for another successful future, all your experience in acting and directing will bear greater fruit, I’m sure angel.”
This follows Reece’s earlier revelation about his remarkable body transformation after shedding pounds during lockdown.
He confessed that his secret to slimming down was ditching crisps for ten weeks, telling fans at the time: “Amazing what ten weeks’ rest and recuperation (and far fewer crisps) can do for you.”
