The actress welcomed her first child into the world earlier this year with her partner Nathan Chilton
Coronation Street star Sair Khan has acknowledged the funny side of the new mum ‘juggle’ as she prepares for a return to screens. The actress welcomed her first child into the world earlier this year with her partner Nathan Chilton.
Sair, who is famed for playing Alya Nazir in the ITV soap, annouced she was expecting last December and kept much of her pregnancy out of the spotlight.
But as her temporary Corrie exit scenes aired on-screen, the new mum confirmed her son’s arrival in May. She said at the time: “He’s here! …Our little boy is just marvellous. Very serious and curious about the world. He’s super strong and so resilient for joining me on the absolute rollercoaster that was our 22 hours of labour.”
Sair has since shared a few updates about life as a new mum and in her latest, she laughed at herself trying to take a good selfie whilst also trying to comfort her baby boy, whose name she hasn’t shared publicly.
Alongside the ‘golden hour’ snaps taken as she waited in the back of the car for her other half, Sair wrote: “A cute light finally shone upon mine window (whilst Dad was in the service station). Baby awoke and Mum had a choice. Put the phone away or try to multitask. Answer on last slide. The juggle is real guys.”
The comments quickly came flooding in. @paigntons.new1 said: “Gorgeous.” @rushyi9 commented: “Looking beautiful.” @jack.smith170 wrote: “You’re so gorgeous Sair.” @deborah.72collins posted: “You look lovely.” @faridawyllie added: “Looking forward to seeing you back on Corrie.”
It comes after Sair was recently seen reunited with some of her co-stars as she headed back to work on Corrie. Sair’s character Alya Nazir left Weatherfield to pursue a job opportunity in Dublin, but before she left she and her boss Adam Barlow. played by Sam Robertson, getting close.
Last month, Sair revealed that she is back at work with a post on her Instagram Story. Sharing a shot of her scripts, she wrote: “I’m Backstreet.”
Then last week, she was seen being reunited with Dee-Dee Bailey co-star Channique Sterling-Brown as they got together for the new snap, reportedly taken to mark Helen Worth’s exit after five decades playing Gail Platt.
Channique shared a selfie to her Instagram story of them both preparing for the snap, writing “Bailey and Nazir reunited for @coronationstreet picture day,” with Luca Toolan (Mason Radcliffe), Rob Mallard (Daniel Osbourne) and Vinta Morgan (Ronnie Bailey) seen smiling behind them.
Sair then shared her own snap of herself and Channique posing for the camera, writing: “Bailey and Nazir back in business @coronationstreet,” after viewers saw the pair teaming up for work at Adam’s solicitor’s office.
