ITV Emmerdale fans spot Tom’s mistake as they point out ‘easily found’ piece of evidence

Emmerdale aired explosive scenes on Monday night as once again evil Tom King went to desperate measures to hide his sinister wrongdoings against Belle Dingle

Emmerdale fans were quick to spot Tom King’s mistake on Monday’s episode as the evil vet went to desperate measures to hide his sinister behaviour towards Belle Dingle.

Just last week, Belle, played by Eden Taylor-Draper, handed herself into the police after she attacked Tom, played by James Chase, with an axe in self-defence.

Tom had tried to manipulate Belle into going back on her abuse allegations against him and in return he would keep quiet about her being responsible for the attack, where he even fabricated a story to the police about two random men being his attackers.

However, in a twist, Belle bravely decided to hand herself in, where she also reported Tom for his domestic abuse. As such, Tom, who was discharged from hospital, was brought in for questioning where he lied his way through the interview.

Yet it was soon revealed that Tom was concerned about one piece of incriminating evidence as he confessed to his lawyer that he had multiple cameras set up at his marital home and that footage still existed on one tablet, which had a zombie case and his young cousin Carl uses, that the police wouldn’t think to retrieve.

Unbeknown to Tom, the tablet had been taken by Isaac Dingle from Carl as he wanted to play a game on it. However, Moira Dingle was quick to intervene after she spotted downloaded files, which proved multiple cameras and spying on Belle had taken place.

Moira was determined to give the tablet to Belle but she had a seizure before being able to hand over the device amid her recent brain tumour diagnosis and awoke to no recollection as to why she wanted to contact Belle.

On Monday night, Tom was hellbent on getting his hands on the incriminating piece of evidence as he snuck into Butlers and despite being nearly caught by Moira’s son Matty Barton, Tom was able to locate the tablet and the episode ended with him smashing up the device, which Carl sneakily witnessed without Tom knowing.

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to slam Tom’s mistake as they pointed out an ‘easily found’ piece of evidence that would bring down the villain once and for all. Social media users pointed out that the files would likely be available in the cloud and that the police would easily be able to locate them.

One person said: “He didn’t delete the evidence. That can easily be found in the cloud. #Emmerdale”, a different account wrote: “Just wondering if they are aware of cloud services? Such as Google Photos? #emmerdale” while a third soap watcher pointed out: “Has Tom not heard of the cloud ? #emmerdale.”

Elsewhere, another viewer wrote: “The evidence will be on the cloud #Emmerdale”, a different soap watcher put: “#emmerdale this whole tablet thing – how many tablets can save hours and hours of video without it being in the cloud?” while another added: “Anyone want to tell Tom everything’s probs still on the cloud #Emmerdale.”
