Hollyoaks star shares more on Sienna and Ethan flashback revelations

“We’ll revisit some really dramatic stuff.”

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Matthew James Bailey has teased that some “really dramatic” scenes will unfold in a series of flashbacks involving his character Ethan Williams and Sienna Blake.

After the Channel 4 soap’s recent time jump, it was revealed that Sienna and Ethan had rekindled their romance and were engaged to be married.

However, the lead-up to their wedding hasn’t been smooth sailing, as Vicky still has feelings for Ethan and recently let him know that she isn’t giving up on him.

In scenes airing next week, after Sienna and Ethan tie the knot, viewers will see a flashback that will give a new insight into what their relationship has been like over the past year.

Speaking to Inside Soap about what these scenes will entail, Bailey said: “Things haven’t always gone smoothly for Ethan and Sienna over the past year. They have really struggled to get to this point.

“Those flashbacks show the hardships they went through – we’ll revisit some really dramatic stuff between the two of them.”

The actor added: “Sienna and Ethan have both a beautiful and chaotic relationship. I reckon the fans will be wanting them to stay together for a very long time…”

Although Sienna and Ethan leave the wedding venue in high spirits, things soon go wrong when the bride ends up clashing with Vicky.

“It really wouldn’t be Ethan and Sienna without some big fallout at the end. Vicky throws a giant spanner in the works,” said Bailey.

“It’s just seeing how they all deal with that in such a public setting. There are definitely some awkward moments!”

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
