Following her abusive relationship with Geoff Metcalfe, Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) in Coronation Street has ensured her home is a place that makes her feel safe and comfortable.
So far, the people inside understand and respect this and therefore, try to refrain from bringing trouble to Yasmeen’s door. Sadly, things look set to change soon thanks to a certain Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan).
Troubled teen Mason was sent to prison earlier this year after his involvement in Liam’s (Charlie Wrenshall) bullying storyline. He was released, but time in Weatherfield didn’t last long as Betsy (Sydney Martin) framed him for theft.
Back on the cobbles for good (famous last words) this time, Mason has found help and support from Yasmeen and Stu (Bill Fellows).
This is partly because Stu knows exactly what it’s like to be released from prison and have nothing afterwards, so he’s decided to give Mason a chance.
Coming up, Eileen (Sue Cleaver) makes it clear to Stu and Yasmeen that she really doesn’t agree with them giving Mason the time of day.
Later, when Stu trips over Mason’s bag, a hoodie falls out. The teen is quick to pick it up and stuff it back into his bag, leaving Stu suspicious.
During a chat, Eileen gives Yasmeen food for thought when she urges her not to let Stu bully her into having Mason around.
Meanwhile, Mason spots his brother Logan watching from his car. Stu marches over to confront him, but the lad quickly speeds away.
Returning home, Stu and Yasmeen find that someone has thrown a brick through their window. Stu’s immediate reaction is to accuse Logan as he was trying to force Mason to take part in a robbery.
Given her past, how will Yasmeen react to this?
