Paul’s last wishes are finally revealed in Coronation Street – and we’re in bits

Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) family gather for an emotional conversation next week in Coronation Street, as they continue to adapt to life without him.

The beloved character died last month after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease. In a truly devastating episode, Paul’s family rushed him to the hospital after finding him unresponsive, but Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) wasn’t around.

That’s because he was scouring the streets of Manchester after losing his phone on a night out. When he was eventually able to communicate with Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) he raced to the hospital, but got there after Paul had died.

Discussing Paul’s funeral has caused a lot of tension between Billy and Bernie. Eventually, the two characters reached a compromise and agreed to a traditional send off for Paul in a church, and a memorial rave.

In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, it’s the day of Paul’s memorial and the street is covered in bunting and residents are handing out glo sticks ready for the celebration.

Meanwhile, Bernie asks Todd (Gareth Pierce) to bring Paul’s ashes so she can give him the best spot on the dance floor, but it causes problems when Billy arrives at the undertakers for his husband’s ashes, only to realise they’re not there.

Next week, with Summer, Bernie and Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) all present in the flat, Billy decides to read out Paul’s wish list.

The letter confirms that Paul has left Bernie his VHS tapes, a hoodie for Gemma, a mug for Summer, all of his love to Billy…and a special message for Kit (Jacob Roberts).

After a difficult start when he first arrived on the cobbles, Kit eventually made the effort to build a relationship with Paul before he died.

But what surprising message has he left for the new face?
