Whilst Adam Barlow is discussing Damon Hay’s hidden money with Daniel, Jesse states that he recognises him from Sarah’s wedding pictures. After meeting Jesse in the café, Shona urges Sarah and David to sit down and talk to him. Will they agree? Later, Jesse catches up with Steve over a pint and opens up on why he’s really here.
Meanwhile, Adam calls at the factory and confesses to Sarah that Damon offered to pay Bethany’s medical bills but he deleted his message from her phone. Later, Sarah calls Damon in prison.
Elsewhere, Shona urges Nick Tilsley to find out where he stands with Toyah Habeeb. Nick calls at Victoria Court and tells Toyah that like it or not, they need to talk.
Also in Weatherfield, Carla’s day goes from bad to worse when Betsy Swain lets slip to an important client that she is in court for ABH and Sally Metcalfe admits Sarah is in Turkey. Meanwhile, at court, Carla comes face to face with Tom, the dad of the lad she knocked over.
Back at the factory with the client less than impressed Carla takes her anger out on Betsy and Sarah, unaware that Tom has followed her back from court and is watching her overseeing a delivery. She’s startled when Tom appears, his fury evident. Later, following her ordeal, a tender moment with Lisa leaves Carla feeling confused. Has Lisa felt it too?
The following day in the café, Carla buys Betsy a coffee and confirms that she can have her job back leaving the teen delighted. Next, Carla suggests to Lisa that they need to talk.
Meanwhile, Hope is still secretly vaping and threatens sister Ruby if she tells their parents. None the wiser, at No.9, Cassie Plummer makes Hope and Ruby promise to pull together for Fiz Dobbs’ sake.
At the end of the week, Mrs Crawshaw comes round to talk to Fiz, Tyrone and Hope about her recent misdemeanours. Hope convinces them all that she has given up vaping and is gutted when Mrs Crawshaw says she can return to school. After she has left Hope, sneaks her vape out of the sideboard but Evelyn Plummer calls her to come and help in the shop.
She stuffs the vape back in the sideboard and runs out without noticing a curl of smoke escaping from the drawer. With Ruby due home from school has fire starter Hope struck again?
Also, Kit Green downloads the files from Joel Deering’s laptop and, horrified by what he finds, he calls DS Lisa Swain. Later, in the café, Dee-Dee Bailey confides in Kit that she phoned the wedding venue and the holiday company and it would seem Joel has already recouped their deposits.
