Bianca Jackson gets the shock of her life as EastEnders reveals first look at major return

Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) is in for a huge shock in upcoming EastEnders scenes when she comes face to face with dad David Wicks (Michael French).

David was last seen on our screens in 2014, when he left Albert Square following the end of his relationship with Carol Jackson.

Throughout most of her life, Bianca and David have been estranged, so it comes as a huge shock to her when he suddenly appears, and he soon comes to realise that she may need him now more than ever.

The pair have a very complicated history, which some viewers may remember.

Back in 1993, when David and Bianca first met, they actually began to develop romantic feelings for each other, until Carol revealed that he was Bianca’s biological dad.

Talk about a close call!

In upcoming scenes, Bianca is working tirelessly to free Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) from prison with the Save Our Sonia campaign, but her valiant efforts appear to backfire.

Viewers will know that Sonia is currently in prison, having been accused of murdering Debbie Colwell, Reiss Colwell’s (Jonny Freeman) ex-wife.

While juggling her theories that Reiss knows more than he’s letting on, Bianca also has best friend Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) hot on her tail, full of concern for her mental health.

Earlier this year, Bianca was diagnosed with depression, but has been pushing the diagnosis aside instead of reaching out for support.

Could David’s return change things for Bianca, or will it only cause more harm to her mental health?

Speaking about his return to the show, actor Michael French said: ‘I feel honoured to be asked to reprise the role of David Wicks once again.

‘It may only be a brief visit, but we know from his past that David never fails to create a lot of drama in a very short time.’
