BBC EastEnders Suki prison fate sealed as character pits against her – and it’s not Nish

Tensions reached a boiling point on EastEnders after Nish Panesar was saved from a shock heart attack by someone close to home – and Suki’s children were left out of the will.

Suki Panesar may be going to prison with someone in her close circle forever turning their back on her – but her charges will have nothing to do with Keanu’s murder.

While the businesswoman played by Balvinder Sopal was present when the hunk was killed on Christmas Day last year, recent scenes aired on BBC One have teased more trouble ahead for her as she was ready to turn a blind eye to her ex-husband Nish’s suffering.

After Monday’s cliff-hanger, Tuesday’s trip to Albert Square showed Navin Chowdhry’s EastEnders alter ego inches away from death after another argument with Suki led him to experience pains in his chest, in relation to his myocarditis. Though she thought of calling for help, Suki decided to watch him die while sipping on a glass of red wine.

Nish’s fate seemed sealed until this Wednesday (September 25, 2024), when Suki’s fifteen minutes of glory were interrupted by her fiancee Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Nish’s granddaughter, Avani Gulati (Aaliyah James).

It didn’t take long for Avani to realise that shifty Suki was waiting until it was too late for Nish to get him help and, upon making the realisation, the teen called an ambulance before her father Ravi (Aaron Thiara) arrived on the scene, just as Nish was being rushed to hospital by paramedics.

Once there, Suki, Avani and Eve waited for a verdict, though the teen seemed ready to expose Suki for what she had done – or, in this case, decided not to do – making her more than likely to cause trouble for Suki in the long-run, particularly under Nish’s watchful eye.

To make matters worse, moments after, Nish made a last-minute change to his will, declaring Avani and her brother Davinder aka “Nugget” his main beneficiaries, sending Suki into a blind rage as she found her own children, Kheerat, Ash and Vinny, had all been scrapped from the testament.

New shots of upcoming scenes have teased all hell is about to break loose in the ED as Suki can be seen lashing out against Nish after the discovery, which ultimately leaves her and her children without a dime or a claim over the family business.

In another scenario, this would then set Ravi up against Suki, as both parents battle it out while Nish savours his last moments, leading them onto another long-lasting feud.

Though the secrecy around his exit scenes has been kept intact, recent reports claimed that Navin Chowdhry’s exit from the London-based programme is imminent as he was reported to have quit his role.

“It’s not known if Nish will be killed off, even though his health is suffering, but expect the exit to be very impactful and dramatic”, a source explained to The Sun. “Navin has made quite the impact on the show in the two years he has been a part of it… he’ll be missed by cast, crew and viewers alike.”
