EastEnders murder ‘exposed’ as legend stages almighty comeback to save a loved one

Hurricane Bianca blows back into Albert Square in EastEnders next week, as Patsy Palmer returns for another guest stint as the iconic character.

She is on the warpath following sister Sonia Fowler’s (Natalie Cassidy) arrest for Debbie Colwell’s murder, and her arrival back in Walford threatens to expose Reiss Colwell’s (Jonny Freeman) killer secret – while it soon becomes clear that Bianca is hiding something herself too.

Elsewhere next week, Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) finds himself in grave danger as his father Nish (Navin Chowdhry) continues to set him up to take the fall for the money laundering at the chicken shops.

A new feud also erupts between Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian), who is desperate to keep something from his family’s past hidden.

Here’s the full lowdown on next week’s episodes…

Monday 23 September

Nish continues to set Vinny up as the fall guy for his money laundering, staging a handover of cash between Vinny and Harti in the Square gardens. Vinny ignores Suki’s (Balvinder Sopal) warnings and follows Nish’s orders by heading to an unknown drop-off point.

After Suki learns from Harti that Nish has tipped off the police to arrest Vinny when he arrives, she implores her son to flee Walford. But when Vinny gets in a cab to leave, little does he realise it’s a trap.

Meanwhile, it’s the day of Debbie’s funeral, but her parents Brenda and Hugh (Nichola McAuliffe and Michael Bertenshaw) make it clear that Reiss is not welcome. He is touched when Martin (James Bye) arranges a wake in The Vic to support him. But when he starts to read his eulogy for Debbie, he’s interrupted by Bianca who bursts in demanding answers…

After Teddy and Sharon (Letitia Dean) convince Phil (Steve McFadden) to give Harry (Elijah Holloway) a trial shift at The Arches, Jack makes a new enemy after commenting on his work ethic. Teddy later visits No. 27 and issues Jack with a threat as recompense…

Tuesday 24 September

Vinny pales when he realises he has been set up, and Suki panics when she doesn’t hear from him.

At No. 25, Bianca interrogates Reiss about Sonia’s arrest and soon accuses him of Debbie’s murder. But just as he’s close to confessing, Martin and Kat (Jessie Wallace) arrive. Convinced Reiss is to blame, Bianca retorts to desperate measures to antagonise him.

Teddy is upset to learn that Harry is a no-show for his first shift at The Arches, but he later redeems himself with Phil when he saves Kathy’s (Gillian Taylforth) handbag from a thief. Once alone, Harry makes a mysterious call, as it becomes clear he is plotting something dodgy with his new role.

Wednesday 25 September

When Harry meets with his contact at McClunky’s, Jack overhears and orders a warrant to search the garage, and Phil rescinds Harry’s trial as a result.

Later, Teddy issues a warning to his son, reiterating what could be at stake if the police start looking into their affairs – what are they hiding?

Martin comforts Reiss, but he tells Martin about Bianca’s depression diagnosis. Later in The Vic, Bianca and Martin have a heart-to-heart about her recent struggles.

Thursday 26 September

As the Square gossips about Harry, Teddy concocts a plan to clear his son’s name by holding a charity event for Sonia at Michell’s Autos. Phil is shocked to learn of the event, but when Teddy announces the fundraiser was Harry’s idea Phil agrees to give him his job back.

Later, Jack continues to voice his suspicions on Harry and Teddy, leaving them worried.

Bianca wakes at Kat’s flat, her friend tells her she needs to face up to her actions, and go and see a GP about her erratic behaviour. She heads to meet Martin, but soon reiterates her distrust of Reiss.

Bianca then skips her GP appointment to attend Sonia’s fundraising event – will she get the help she needs?

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
